TATA IPL 2024 MATCH (15 day) SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED

Jay Shah, Honorary Secretary of BCCI took to X (formerly twitter) to announce a partial 15-day IPL match schedule. The 17^th season of TATA IPL will be kicked off at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Bangalore Between 5 times winner CSK and RCB. IPL is one of worlds most watched Cricket which usually takes place between March and May with around 74 matches. But this time its divided into phases and therefore only a 15-day Match schedule was released for a total of 21 matches.

Check Schedule for the first phase of the tournament that will commence on March 22 to April 27. There will be total of 10 teams with 20 overs each. List of stadiums for the rest of the matches remains undisclosed yet. There were many expensive players this year including Mitchell Stark who topped the list at Rs 24.75 crores followed by Pat Cummins at Rs 20.50 crores. Mitchell was bought by KKR.

Why a 15-day IPL 2024 schedule?

According to announcement made by BCCI the match will divided in 2 phases. Coming second phase of the tournament kept on hold due to 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. Once those elections dates announced, BCCI will reconsider its plans and make a final announcement later. Lok Sabha elections a 5 yearly state affair which marks its 18^th event this year.
