Admissions in private schools of Delhi for pre-primary classes commence from April. Admissions are for kindergarten, and class 1. All children over the age of 3years and less than 6years are eligible for admissions. About Delhi EWS Admissions

There are around 1700 registered private schools in Delhi. According to RTE Act 2024, 22% of seats are reserved for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) sections and 3% are reserved for Children with special needs(CWSN). Children under these category get free of cost education in private schools.

Parents can register their wards on the official website and submit their documents. Merit list and details of selected students get announced on the official site of Delhi government. They can also check the site of school they applied to as they will upload the list of selected students as well.

Eligibility for Nursery EWS/DG Admissions 2024:

2. Categories to apply for Delhi EWS Admissions 2024: Child must belong to a EWS (Economically Weaker Section)/DG (Disadvantageous groups)/’r54-(Children With Special Needs) category for getting admission under such quota.
3. Residency: Must be a resident of Delhi.
4. Previous Schooling: Shall transfer from a government recognised school.
5. Income for Delhi EWS Admissions 2024: Family Annual income less than Rs 1 lakh . Family Income now less than RS 2.5 Lakh per annum for Delhi EWS admissions changed by Department of Education Delhi.

Process of Admissions in Delhi Nursery EWS/DG/CWSN 2024

1. Go to official website of Delhi Nursery EWS admissions, edudel.nic.in
2. Click on the link of Delhi Nursery Admissions 24-25.
3. On the application form fill in the required details of the child and family.
4. Upload the required documents like Adhaar card, EWS certificate, Passport size photo of child etc and click on submit.
5. Pay fee of Rs 25 through your suitable mode.
6. Download the copy of application.
7. On the date of announcement of merit list of candidates go to official website and click on EWS / DG Admissions and EWS / Freeship Admissions.
8. Go to EWS/DG FREESHIP result and click
9. Enter your registration details and get information about your admission status.
10. Or you can also click on ‘whats new’ box and the list of new notifications about the admissions will appear.
11. Select merit list released and find name of your ward in the list.
12. You can also simply go on the official site of schools you have applied to and check their list of selected students.

Note: If selected candidates fail to reach school premises upto 30 May 2024, their seats will get cancelled.

Dates are announced by Directorate of Education, Delhi for General category, EWS category, DG category and  for CWSN. Admissions are taking place in all the private schools in Delhi registered with government. Children can get admissions in class-Nursery, KG and Class 1.

How to check Delhi EWS freeship result?

There are two methods of checking results of Delhi EWS admissions in schools of Delhi. First is by entering their registration number and second is by checking draw list results, both available on official website of Delhi education department.

Check results through application number

1. Go to website of Education Department of Delhi (Del E) i.e edustud.nic.in.
2. click on EWS / DG Admissions and EWS / Freeship Admissions.
3. Then click on EWS/DG/FREESHIP Result 2024-25 for current year results.
4. Enter your registration number and Date of Birth details. Then enter captcha code and click on ‘Submit’.
5. Your admission status for Delhi EWS admissions appear on your screen.
6. Now you can go to allotted school for document verification. You can also go to website of allotted school to see further actions you can take.

To check results through Draw result lists Delhi EWS admissions

1. Go to official website of Department of Education Delhi i.e edustud.nic.in
2. From the list of links moving on screen, click on list of Draw results like EWS / DG / CWSN 5th Draw Result 2023-24.
3. List of students selected for admission in Delhi schools appear on your screen.
4. If the name of your child is there then note the information about school code, name etc.
