What is CBSE Class 10, 12 improvement/compartment exam?
In CBSE Board exams students who score more than 33% are marked as ‘Pass’. So the students who score lower than 33% in any or all subjects are marked up for improvement exam rather than “Fail”. Students then register from improvement exams and then retake the test to score better marks. If students score above the passing marks this time then they pass the exam and sit in next class. However it is to note that CBSE improvement exam takes place only once a year. So, if a student is unable to clear their compartment then they shall marked as “Fail” and relevant consequences shall follow.
How to apply for CBSE Class 10,12 improvement exam 2024?
Students can apply for CBSE Improvement exam 2024 in online mode only through its designated portal. The official portal for CBSE improvement exam will take place on 15 July 2024. Students from both 10th and 12th class from session 2023-24 shall register themselves on official portal, pay fee and then retake exam when dates release. CBSE Improvement exam 2024 application form will be available from last week of May 2024.
