Labour Department of Karnataka government recently open applications for its Labour Card Scholarship in May 2024. Under this Labour Card Scholarship Labourers get upto Rs 11,000 for the education of their children. Therefore wards of Karnataka residents who are working in the unorganised labour segment can apply for this scholarship on KLWB or KBOCWWB portals. The Labour card scholarship covers primary, secondary and even higher level education upto any professional courses. The labourers who are registered with Karnataka Labour Welfare Board (KLWB) are eligible to apply for Labour Card Scholarship. The entire process of Labour Card Scholarship is online. There is no need to separately apply on Seva Sindhu portal.

All eligible candidates can visit official portal of KBOCWWB (Karnataka Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board), KLWB (Karnataka Welfare Board) or Karnataka State Unorganised Workers Social Security Board (KSUWSSB). The candidates must register themselves on the respective portals first. Then EKYC will take place and upon successful application candidates can log in the portal and check the status of their Labour Card Scholarship 2024 application. Last date to apply for Labour Card Scholarship is 20 June 2024.

About Labour Card Scholarship

Labour Card Scholarship 2024 is a scheme of Labour Department of Karnataka to facilitate the education of children of Labourers. According to this scheme there is financial aid provided to the students from Rs 1100 to Rs 11000. Students from class 1 to 12^th, UG, PG degree or professional courses are eligible to get benefits of the scheme. The registration process of the scholarship is entirely online and it is mandatory for all labourers to register. There is no application fee for Labour Card Scholarship.

The candidates who are from General category need minimum 50% marks in their previous class, SC/ST students need 45% minimum passing marks to become eligible. There are various benefits of the scheme along with the financial benefit. It helps uplifting the financial, economic, social status of the labour class of the state. Eligibility for Labour Card Scholarship

• Citizen/Nativity– Only Indian citizens who are a permanent resident of Karnataka are eligible to apply for Labour Card Scholarship 2024. Only wards of labourers are eligible to register for the scheme for this scheme.
• Age– The labourers who are between the age of 18 to 60 years are eligible to apply for Labour Card Scholarship.
• Passing Marks– Students applying from General category need minimum 50% passing in their previous class or course to become eligible. Students who are from SC/ST category need 45% marks in their previous exams to become eligible.

1. Visit official Karnataka Labour Welfare portal i.e kbocwwb.karnataka.gov.in
2. Click on Register as a new construction worker option (for new candidate). Or you can use labour card reference Id.
3. Enter your mobile number and verify it with OTP.
4. Log in with your registration credentials on KLWB portal
5. Click on apply scholarship.
6. Fill in your application form
7. Enter your personal details, educational details, category of application, etc.
8. Fill your Adhaar card details.
9. Enter your Bank Account details
10. Give details about the industry of work of the parent
11. Upload all important documents
12. Preview your application and tick the declaration boxes.
13. Click on Apply and your Labour Card Scholarship application is now successful.
