The monsoon session for legislature began on 27th June, 2024 (Thursday). Mr. Uddhav Thackeray, addressing a press conference, criticized state government. He also commented on “Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana” and demanded the launch of “Maza ladka bhau Scheme” for the male population in Maharashtra. He said, under this scheme, the applicants will get up to Rs. 10,000 per month (similar to how “Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana” works). Even if the idea of scheme was proposed, there is presently no such schemes available. There is no official notification released about scheme yet. No official dates of initiation of scheme or registration are revealed either. Applicants interested need to be cautious, and are advised to check the official statements to avoid possible scams or frauds.

On other hand, the scheme “Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana” does exist. It aims to empower women by providing financial assistance and promoting self-reliance through nutrition, employment, and skill development programs. It is for women between ages of 21 and 60 years. They receive Rs. 1,500 per month from government.
It is speculated, if the “Maza ladka bhau Scheme” does end up being released, it will follow the same standards of “Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana”. Its main objective is theorized to be able to empower the male youth by providing financial aid.
