- The AAO examination is open to all Group “C” cadre employees of the Department of Posts or Department of Telecommunications who have earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or institute.
- Officials from Group “C” are limited to participating in the AAO Examination. For this reason, HSG-I, HSG-II, IP, and ASPOs are not permitted to take the AAO Examination.
- A 14-year qualifying service period is necessary for the AAO examination if an official is first hired as an MTS Group C official.
- Eleven years of qualifying service are needed for the AAO test if the official was hired at first as a mail guard or postman.
- Nine years of qualifying service are needed for the AAO test if an official was first hired as a sorting assistant or postal assistant.
- The candidates must check their eligibility by contacting their Divisional Offices.
Procedure for Applications of AAO 2024
The application form found in Annexure A must completed by candidates and sent to the appropriate Divisional or Unit Head. Important information to mention is:

- Date of Birth, Present Role, and Salary
- Contact Details (Phone number and email address)
- A current passport-size photo must attached, and it must certified by the candidate’s supervisor or officer in charge.
How to Apply for AAO 2024
- Use Annexure A of the announcement or download the application form from the official website.
- Make sure that all of the information you provide here is correct and corresponds with the records in the Service Book.
- Enclose the necessary documentation, such as certified copies of your diplomas and photos.
