Amarnath Yatra 2024 Registration Online Booking

SASB will soon open bookings of Helicopter routes for Amarnath Yatra 2024. There are two main traditional routes for Amarnath yatra through helicopter i.e Jammu-Pahalgam-Holy cave and Jammu-Baltal-Holy Cave. There are various public and private players that operate helicopter taxi service on these routes. Fares for one way and two way routes starting from 10,800 Rs. Only fit people and that are above 13 years of age are eligible for Amarnath Heli service 2024. However only 2000 pilgrims per day are allowed on Amarnath Yatra.

Devotees can go to the official website of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board to check the rates and availability of Heli services. They must first register themselves atleast a month in advance for yatra, then Book their Heli service tickets, upload necessary documents and finally make payment. They shall submit a CHC (Compulsory Health Certificate) issued by one of the institutions from the list of SASB. No registered person is allowed to pass without an RFID tag. This RFID tag is mendatory for the devotees to wear at all times.

Eligibility for Heli Service Amarnath Yatra 2024

• Age between 14 and 70 years.
• Women should not be pregnant
• CHC as proof of fitness. Compulsory health certificate issue by an authorised doctor from the list of SASB.

Amarnath Heli Taxi service routes/rates 2024

There are mainly two traditional routes that are Baltal Axis and Pahalgam Axis.

a) Jammu-Pahalgam-Holy cave Route

There is a distance of total 315 km from Jammu to Pahalgam. It is the 2^nd shortest route to reach Holy cave with 46km distance.

Pahalgam is 96km from Srinagar known for its landscape beauty. There are good hotels available and many NGOs organise langars on this route.

Chandanwari is 16 kms from Pahalgam and mini buses run between these two places all the time. Scenic view of this place is also pretty nice.

Pissu top is the next point of this route which comes at a height of 11000 feet. It is known for its hiking friendly nature.

Sheshnag is 9km from Pissu top at 11,730 feet. The name is derived from its 7 peaks resembling the heads of a snake from Hindu Mythology. It is very attractive camoing sites with many glaciers in view.

Panchtarni is the second last stop located at around 12000 feet. It has cold harsh climate which can lead to breathing and walking problems. he route to Mahagunas is full of rivulets, water falls and springs. At Panjtarni, at the feet of BHAIRAV MOUNT, Five Rivers flow which apparently originated from Lord Shiva’s Hair (Jataon). Pilgrims camp at Panjtarni on the 3rd night.

Holy cave Shri Amarnath is the final stop of the journey which is located at a height of 12756 feet. On the way to The Holy Cave, one comes across the Sangam of Amravati and Panjtarni rivers. Some pilgrims take bath at Amravati near the Holy Cave before going for Darshan. There are two smaller Shivlings one of Maa Parvati and other of Shri Ganesh. It may be noted that after having early Darshan of the Shiv Linga at Holy Cave, one can return to Panjtarni well in time the same day.

b) Jammu-Baltal-Holy cave Route

it is the shortest route with 14km distance therefore may people prefer it.

Sonamarg comes after Srinagar and one has to reach it by road. It has snow-clad peaks and its known for its picturesque valleys. It is the gateway to Ladakh.

Baltal is a one-way steep trek which is only 14km away from the Holy cave. Therefore one can go and come back on the same day. But only very fit people may dare to choose this path.

Amarnath Yatra Application/Heli service booking process 2024

1. Go to official website of SASB i.e jksasb.nic.in
2. Click on Yatra permit registration. You are redirected to instructions page.
3. Read the instructions and declaration. Then click on that box and ‘I agree’.
4. Choose the route you want to take. Fill in your details like name, adhaar card, etc. Upload CHC certificate,
5. Verify your mobile with OTP received.
6. SMS of application send on register mobile number.
7. Pay application fee Rs 120 from any suitable online mode.
8. Book Heli ticket from your preferable route and make payment.
9. Download your Yatra permit and heli ticket 2024.

Important points for Amarnath Yatra 2024

DO’s	DON’Ts
->Carry your Aadhaar details for collecting RFID Cards ->Practice to become fit for yatra by walking atleast 4-5kms  everyday. ->Carry important survival items with you ->Wear trek friendly clothes ->All waste materials must be placed in the nearest dustbin. Keep urinals clean.	-> Not embark on journey without RFID or other documents. -> Avoid to stop at places marked as dangerous (warning signs) > do not wear slippers or open toe footwear. -> never attempt any short cuts on the route. -> Use of plastics is banned so don’t bring it with you. -> Do not Trek alone

 

Some important survivals items to carry

• a small umbrella (preferably one which is tied with an elastic band around your head and supported by a strap around the chin);
