Age Limit

Applicants must be between 18 and 25 years old as of September 1, 2024, the first day of the month in which the applications are invited.

Age Relaxation:

• For Ex-Servicemen: The break in service between the date of discharge and September 1, 2024 (the start of the enrollment process), should not exceed four years, as per Rule 12.24 (1) (c) of the Punjab Police Rules, 1934.
• For Reserved Categories: Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes, and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) are eligible for a relaxation of up to 5 years in the upper age limit, as per the government’s instructions.

Education Qualification

• The candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized education Board/Institution.
• Matric with Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects.
• No extra weightage will be given to the candidate for higher education.

Haryana Police Constable Salary

Haryana Constable Police at Level 3 starts with a monthly salary between Rs. 21700 to Rs. 69,300. This salary grows as they gain experience and receive promotions. Level 3 is the starting role where constables play a key part in maintaining law and order.

Qualifying Criteria For Selection & Examination

The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) will shortlist candidates based on their merit in the Common Eligibility Test (CET) for further rounds, including the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and the Physical Screening Test (PST).

1. Physical Measurement Test (PMT):

Candidates must undergo the PMT as per the standards specified in the Haryana Police (Non-Gazetted and Other Ranks) Service Rules, 2017, with any amendments. Digital measurement devices will be used to ensure accuracy and fairness, with results displayed on digital monitors for transparency. Candidates who do not meet the required standards will be eliminated from the selection process. Only those who pass the PMT will proceed to the next stage.

2. Physical Screening Test (PST):

Candidates who qualify for the PMT will take the PST to assess their physical fitness and endurance. The standards for the PST are as follows:

• Male Candidates: 2.5 kilometers in 12 minutes.
• Female Candidates: 1.0 kilometers in 6 minutes.
• Ex-Servicemen: 1.0 kilometers in 5 minutes.

To ensure reliability, RFID (Radio Frequency Identification Device) or other advanced technology may be used. Candidates are responsible for ensuring their medical fitness to undergo the test. Those who do not meet the PST standards will be disqualified from the selection process. The results will be displayed on the HSSC official website, and only candidates who pass the PST will move forward in the recruitment process.

3. Knowledge Test (94.5% weightage)

Haryana Staff Selection Commission shall shortlist candidates equal to four times the number of advertised posts for each category among those who have qualified for their Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Screening Test (PST), to further appear in the Knowledge Test.
