Jharkhand JTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the eligibility conditions for the JTET 2024 exam as specified by the regulatory authorities. The criteria for Papers I and II differ, as shown below. Eligibility for elementary and upper primary teaching positions is determined by age and educational skills.

For primary Level ( Paper I )

The first paper of the Jharkhand TET 2024 test will be for those wishing to teach classes 1–5. The eligibility requirements for Paper I are listed below.

Age Criteria: Candidates applying for Paper 1 must be at least 18 years of age. The top age limit is not specified.

Education Criteria: Candidates must have passed their intermediate test with a minimum of 50% on aggregate.
Alternatively, candidates must have completed a 2-year diploma or 4-year bachelor’s program in Elementary Education.

For Secondary Level ( Paper II )

The second paper of the Jharkhand Teachers Eligibility Test will be held for applicants desiring to teach grades VI through VIII. The eligibility criteria for this article are shown in the table below.

Age Criteria: Candidates applying for Paper II must be at least 21 years of age. The maximum age is unspecified.

Education Criteria: Candidates must have completed a two-year diploma/bachelor’s degree in elementary education, or a Bachelor’s of Science/Arts and a Bachelor’s of Education (Integrated).

Exam Process:

• The Commission will conduct an OMR-based examination.
• The examination will be conducted in one phase.
• The tests will last 2:30 hours.
• Primary level (classes 01–05): (10+2) level questions will be asked.
• Upper elementary level (classes 6–8): Graduate-level questions will be asked.
• Examination questions will be objective, with objective-type answers, and there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.
