Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme 2024 list (Arunodoi application district wise status) has been released, aiming to provide Rs. 1000 per month to beneficiaries through DBT mode.

The main objective of Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme is to empower women of Assam state. The Government of Assam will provide monthly financial assistance to the eligible beneficiaries for medicines, pluses and sugar. A financial assistance of ₹400 for procuring medicines, ₹200 for purchase of pluses and ₹80 for sugar in addition to this extra ₹150 for purchase of fruits and vegetables. Recently government has also added an amount of ₹250 for electricity bill which make total amount to ₹1000 per month to a vulnerable family.

The beneficiary list of Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme includes economically vulnerable families of Assam state having annual income less than 2 lakh. Under Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme beneficiary priority is given to poorer families which has widows, divorced females, unmarried female, separated females, and family having specially abled member. The families without any female member are not consider as beneficiary as scheme is for women.

About Assam Orunodoi Scheme 2024

Assam Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme 2024 or Arunodoi has been launched as the biggest direct benefit transfer scheme on 1 December 2020. It is a new scheme to empower women and provide financial assistance to economically vulnerable families. In this Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme, the Assam govt. is providing Rs. 1000 per month to eligible 20 lakh state resident families to buy essential food items. The number of families covered under Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme would be subsequently increased to 24 lakh and for this purpose, the state govt. would require Rs. 2400 crore every year. The assistance amount would be transferred to the account of one of the female members of the family.

Objectives of Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme

The Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme focuses on aiding impoverished families within our state, ensuring their financial stability and inclusion in the economy.

1. Monthly financial assistance provided for purchasing essentials like medicines and pulses.
2. Each eligible individual receives Rs. 1000 directly into their bank account through the DBT mode.
3. The scheme targets to assist 27.77 lakh financially vulnerable families.
4. It ensures that most disadvantaged individuals have access to sufficient food and healthcare, serving as a safety net.

Assam Orunodoi Scheme Amount

Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme was first introduced in 2020, by the then Hon’ble Finance Minister, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, the assistance was scientifically fixed at Rs. 830 per beneficiary per month with the following components:

Later, amount of assistance increase to Rs. 1000 to make this a lumpsum amount. Last year, 1.22 lakh new beneficiaries get add, mostly in BTR areas. This year, Finance Minister proposes to bring 4 lakh additional beneficiaries under the umbrella of Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme.

This time, Assam govt. want to provide additional amount of Rs. 250, as subsidy for 50 units of electricity directly being credited into the account of poor. Thus, each beneficiary will be eligible to get Rs. 1250 per month in next financial year. The govt’s effort will be to enhance Orunodoi entitlement with strengthening of state economy.

Orunodoi 3.0 Eligibility Criteria

1. Citizenship/ Nativity: Only citizen of India are eligible for Assam Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme. Residents of Assam are eligible for Assam Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme.
2. Age: The Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme in Assam does not specify an age limit for beneficiaries. However, eligible women between the ages of 16 and 59 can receive financial assistance through this program.
3. Income: The total annual income of the applicant’s entire family should be less than Rs. 2 lakhs.
4. Beneficiary: The nominated female member (beneficiary) should have a bank account where the name matches the scheme records.
