Railways Recruitment Board release official notification for centralised RRB recruitment of Technicians Grade-I and Grade-III early this month. The notification is released on their official website/portal. There are over 9000 vacancies open for the candidates in respective posts. Interested candidates can now apply for the posts by visiting the official website for online application. RRB Registration start from March 9.

There are various age relaxations and reservations provided for candidates from different categories. For Grade-I there are 1092 total posts and for Grade III there are 8052 posts. Applicants must be over the age of 18years and qualified to take the job. There are recruitments open in total 21 railway zones and information about the same is available on respective zone’s railway websites. Candidates can also visit the central railways recruitment board website and then choose the zone they want to apply for to see specific recruitment information about that zone only.

RRB recruitment 2024 Applications are acceptable through online mode only. Applications start from March 9 till March April 4. Candidates need to register themselves on the site first and create their account on CEN. After this they can fill their application form, pay nominal fee of Rs 500 and finally submit. Candidates need to pass a written test (CBT), document verification and finally Medical examination. Candidates shall be notified at each step of their application and selection through SMS and mail notification.

What is RRB Technician Recruitment?

Railways Recruitment Board conducts recruitment of technicians for its 21 offices. It is a centralised recruiment process that takes place in 3 phases. There is a written examination, Medical examination and Document Verification. The application and examination process in online. • Performs routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubrication, and adjustment of railway rolling stock.

Eligibility for RRB Technician recruitment 2024

RRB Technician Grade-I		RRB Technician Grade-III
Age	18-33 years	Age	18-30 years
Nationality	Citizen of India/Nepal or Subject of Bhutan, a Tibetian refugee came to India before 1st Jan 1962,
Qualification	Bachelor degree from recoginzed university or course as prescribed in CEN

There are reservations and age relaxations set for recruitment in RRB technicians like SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Female, Transgender, Minorities,PwBD, EWS (Economically Weaker Section), EBC(Economically Backward Classes)

Eligibility for EBC: Family income not more than 50,000 Rs per annum

Eligibility for EWS: annual income of family is less than Rs 8 Lakh per annum.

Eligible disabilities covered under PwBD: VI (visual Impairment), H I (Hearing Impairment), LD(Locomotor Disability) and MD (Multiple Disability). Each disability being 40% or more.

Follow this process to apply for RRB Technician Grade I and III:

1. Go to official RRB application website i.e rrbapply.gov.in
2. First register yourself to create a one time RRB CEN account.
   • Click on apply
   • Create an account
   • Enter your personal information. Verify using your adhaar card or any other ID proof. Enter your contact details and create password.
   • Log in using these details and apply for CEN 02/2024
3. Select the Grade level you want to apply for. Each candidate if eligible can apply for both posts separately and also pay fee for each application.
4. Fill your details in application form like qualification, category and click submit.
5. Upload necessary documents like Passport size photograph, signature, SC/ ST/ EWS/ EBC/ PwBD certificate.
6. Pay application fee through suitable online mode.
7. Mark the box of Declaration and your RRB Technician recruitment application is successful.
