Local Self Government Department of Kerala launch two portals to bring more connectivity in government schemes and local citizens. LSGD announce two portals i.e Sevana Civil Registration and Sevana Pension Portal to handle works related to all registrations and pensions. There is a lot of data that a government body has to handle when it comes to different registrations that each individual has to make like Birth registration, Marriage , citizenship, pensions and even death registrations to sustain their rights. It is seen that on an average 25 out of 1000 people require these services every year. Looking at this problem LSGD launch Sevana Civil registrations Portal that handles 10 independent applications for recording different types of registration activities from Birth to marriage and death of a citizen.

Similarly, to enable all citizens earn their pension benefits directly from the government, LSGD of Kerala launch Sevana Pension Portal. Under this portal 7 different types of pension schemes are handled together. It includes pension for poorest of the poor people from all walks of life like Farmers, Senior citizens, widow, labour workers and disabled. Citizens who are eligible under any of these pensions can apply for them directly either online or offline.

About Sevana Civil Registrations portal 2024

Sevana Civil registration portal as its name suggests is an official government portal to make all types of civil works registrations of the normal citizens. As we know that as a citizen of a country you need a lot of documents and proofs in your entire lifetime to sustain yourself. Therefore this portal is launched by Local Self Government Department of Kerala to handle essential statutory documents relating to citizenship, age, marital status, residence, financial rights and even death of a citizen.

The main services provided through Sevana are Birth, death and marriage registrations. These are provided through ‘Janasevanakendrams’ and ‘Hospital Kioks’. Sevana suite contains 10 independent applications for handling different types of activities related to the civil registration system (Birth, Death & Marriage Registration) in a local body is comprehensive and strictly in accordance with the requirements of the act and rule. Steps for Certificate Search in Sevana Civil Registrations portal

  1. Go to official website of LSGD Kerala Sevana Civil Registrations Portal i.e citizen.lsgkerala.gov.in
  2. On the top ribbon of options click on ‘File Search’.
  3. You can enter your file number and click on search. Or
  4. You can fill the details of your certificate application like Main Category, Sub Category, District, Office type, Name of Applicant, Application type, Office name, two dates for a range of time of application.
  5. Enter Captcha and click on ‘Search’.
  6. Your application now appears on the screen.

Steps for various registration (Birth/marriage/death) on Sevana portal

  1. Citizen shall first register themselves on Jan Parichay portal. They can go the official website and click on new registration. Or
  2. Go to official website of Sevana Civil Registrations i.e citizen.lsgdkerala.gov.in
  3. Click on e-services options from the menu above.
  4. Select the registration you want to do.
  5. A pop up menu appears on screen to ask you about your Jan parichey Account details. If you have an account you enter the details. If you don’t have an account you click on ‘Register’. You can create your new account by entering your valid mail id, mobile number and other information, then verifying it with OTP. You get your Jan Parichay Log in Details.
  6. Now back on Civil registration portal, enter details of the event (birth, marriage, death) like place, name of parents, age etc.
  7. Make payment of fee for registration
  8. Submit information and your registration is now complete.

About Sevana Pension portal

Sevana pension portal is a one stop solution for all pension related procedures in Kerala. The main aim is to provide empowerment to the poorest of the poor sections of the society. These People include senior citizens, Widows, Disabled people and Labourers. Pension schemes can be accessed both online and offline. There are total 7 types of pension available under Sevana pension scheme to weaker sections of society. Sevana pension amount for all schemes is Rs 1600 per month.

Basic eligibility criteria for Sevana Pension schemes

  1. Resident of Kerala
  2. Age above 60 years for old age pension. Age above 50 for unmarried and widow pension.
  3. Annual income less than Rs 1 lakh.
  4. Applicant is not paying income tax.
  5. Is not already receiving pension from any other service or from any other social welfare scheme.
  6. Is not a beggar.
  7. Doesn’t have property more than 2 acres on his name and building with floor area exceeding 2000 sq.ft.

  3. click on the agricultural workers’/ Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension/Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme – Mentally/Physically Challenged/Pension for unmarried women above 50 years/Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme
  4. Download this form and take a printout of it
  5. After that, fill this form very carefully by entering all the information
  6. Attach all the required documents
  7. Now you have to submit this form to the concerned gram Panchayat municipality.
  8. Within 45 days of submission of application, form inquiry takes place and pension approves.
  9. By following this procedure you can apply for your pension scheme
  10. Now a new page will open before you containing the application form.
  11. Download this form and take a printout of it.
  12. After that, fill this form very carefully by entering all the required information.
  13. Attach all the required document.
  14. Submit this form to the concerned gram Panchayat municipality.
  15. Within 45 days of submission of application, form inquiry will be done and pension is approve.
