Shri Narendra Modi-Prime Minister of India organise an online meet with people around 3 lakh people of backward class from 470 districts of India to announce PM-Suraj official Portal. On 13^th March 2024  an official virtual inauguration event organised in the presence of Social justice minister Virendra Kumar and many more esteemed guests marks begining of a new journey from underprivilege sections of society.

PM-Suraj Portal is an official website under the Ministry Of Social Justice & Empowerment to provide cheap credit support to people from backward classes. Additionally, he also made an announcement to distribute Ayushman Health cards and PPE kits to ‘Safai Mitras’ under the NAMASTE scheme (National Action for Mechanised Sanitation Ecosystem).

PM Modi highlight works done by his government in the past 10 years. Especially how much the backward classes have benefited from various schemes launched like Jan Dhan Yojna, PM-JAY, PM Mudra Yojna, Standup India, Ujjwala Yojna etc under the common goal of ‘Sab ka Saath, Sab ka Vikaas’.

Through all these schemes and efforts many people are now able to receive money from various schemes directly in their bank accounts. Eliminating any middlemen, extra charges or cuts. Over 80 crore poor beneficiaries receive free ration every month. There is guarantee of medical treatment upto 5 lakhs to the BPL individuals. There is a total aid of around 1 lakh 60 thousand crore Rs spend on upliftment of SC community in this one year alone.

Similarly to promote entrepreneurial growth, government is already extending various loans to backward classes which amounts to a total spending of Rs 30  Lakh crores. Additionally there are special Venture capital fund Schemes(VCF-SC), Ambedkar Social Innovation Scheme and Incubation Mission(ASIIM) has been launched in wake of the same. PM-Surya portal 2024 is an extension of this same ideology.

What is PM-SURAJ Portal ?

PM-Surya Portal also known as ‘Pradhan Mantri Samajik Utthan and Rozgar Adharit Jankalyan’ portal is launch to extend free credit support to the marginalised groups of country. The idea is to establish a direct application and loan payment system between the government and beneficiaries.

It is managed in collaboration between three major departments namely the NSFDC, NSKFDC and NBCFDC. It is a Social benefits Management Portal that is used to maintain records and extend benefits of government schemes to civilians.

People from SC, OBC and Safai Mitras category can apply for loans up to Rs 15 lakhs. They shall apply for loan from their respective category shown on the portal.

They have to sign up on the official website and then submit application for laons. There are two types of loans provided under these schemes namely Education loans and income generation loans. Separate income slabs are available to select from below 1.5 lakhs to 5 lakhs or more.

After loan application they can also trach the status of their application on the same website after log in with their registered mobile number and password.

पीएम सूरज पोर्टल क्या है?

पीएम-सूर्य पोर्टल जिसे ‘प्रधानमंत्री सामाजिक उत्थान और रोजगार आधार जनकल्याण’ पोर्टल के रूप में भी जाना जाता है, देश के हाशिए पर रहने वाले समूहों को मुफ्त ऋण सहायता प्रदान करने के लिए लॉन्च किया गया है। इसका उद्देश्य सरकार और लाभार्थियों के बीच सीधे आवेदन और ऋण भुगतान प्रणाली स्थापित करना है।

एससी, ओबीसी और सफाई मित्र वर्ग के लोग 15 लाख रुपये तक के लोन के लिए आवेदन कर सकते हैं. वे पोर्टल पर दर्शाई गई अपनी-अपनी श्रेणी से ऋण के लिए आवेदन करेंगे। उन्हें आधिकारिक वेबसाइट पर साइन अप करना होगा और फिर लोन के लिए आवेदन जमा करना होगा। इन योजनाओं के तहत दो प्रकार के ऋण प्रदान किए जाते हैं, अर्थात् शिक्षा ऋण और आय सृजन ऋण।

आवेदकों को वार्षिक आय स्लैब दरों में से एक का चयन करना होगा जो 1.5 लाख से कम से लेकर 5 लाख और उससे अधिक तक हो सकती है।ऋण आवेदन के बाद वे अपने पंजीकृत मोबाइल नंबर और पासवर्ड से लॉग इन करने के बाद उसी वेबसाइट पर अपने आवेदन की स्थिति का भी पता लगा सकते हैं।

3. Must not have applied for any other government loan scheme.

(NSFDC) Scheduled Castes	1.    National Scheduled Castes Finance & Development Corporation 2.    For SC families living below poverty line
(NBCFDC) Backward class	1.    National Backward Classes Finance & Development Corporation. 2.    Provides assistance through State Channelising Agencies (SCAs) 3.    For all backward classes other than SCs

Process for PM-SURAJ loan Application-apply now

1. Go to official website of Suraj Portal 2024 i.e sbms.ncog.gov.in
2. Go to ‘sign up’ option and click to register yourself for the first time.
3. Enter your mobile number and aadhaar card details.
4. Verify by entering the OTP received on your registered mobile number.
5. Attach your Digiloker for further application and generate a password.
6. Log in again with mobile number and Password you entered during PM-SURAJ registration.
7. Choose one of the three schemes and click ‘Apply for Loan’.
8. Fill in your details like mobile number, annual family income, CIBIL score, Purpose of loan, Bank to take loan from, your bank account details.
9. Fill details about the purpose of loan
10. Upload documents
11. Complete verification. And submit your application.
12. Your Suraj Portal loan application is now complete. You can check the status of your application by Log in on the same site.
13. Upon verification the amount shall send directly to your bank account.
